Our Founder - Robert Bartley QSM

Rob had a work ethic second to none, working multiple jobs before and after school as a teenager, and with a passion for motor vehicles, he bought what became known as the Alma Rd Petrol Station when he was only 19.

From 1970-2020 he purchased and developed multiple local businesses along with expanding overseas into Canada. The Bartley Group now includes more than a dozen companies and employs over 150 people nationally and a further 50 in Canada.

In 2020 Rob established the Bartley Group Advisory Board to support the ongoing governance of the company and appointed his son, Brendon Bartley as Managing Director to work alongside other family members and Senior Managers within the group to ensure its continued success.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Rob passed away on 17 March 2021 and his legacy lives on through his wife Ann, and their children, Angela, John, Brendon, and Sarah.
